Dragonfly and Daddy Long Legs

These are some pictures taken from my Gallery project at university. The pieces are made from metal and glass. The body of the insects are made from copper with steal for legs and the wings are made from glass, copper foil and watch cogs as well as wire for detail. Wing span of the dragonfly is approximately 40cm for scale.

The designs

Casino Commission

(2m x 2m)

This painting is one of a pair. It was commissioned by the Dusk Til' Dawn Casino in Nottingham to sit in thier foyer. It is an interpretation of the casino itself. The customer had asked me to create something that is specific to thier casino and bespoke as when it opened the artwork provided by the company to place on the walls were prints selected from a warehouse that were in several other casinos. It is so far one of the biggest pieces of work I have produced.

Hidden Nottingham Exhibition

(Selectadisk. 40cm x 40cm)

This is a selection of some of  the paintings that I did for an exhibiton in 2009 at the Art Organisation in Nottingham. A photographer friend and I decided to put on an exhibition of Hidden Nottigham. The streets we live in and the surrounding area. She produced a series of photographs showing some of the boarded up buildings and cctv camaras around peoples homes and these paintings were my contribution.
